Should I Start With Laser and Finish With Electrolysis?

This is a question I hear a lot: “Should I do laser first and then finish with electrolysis?”

Here’s the honest answer: it depends on your goals.

Laser can be a quicker way to reduce bulk hair temporarily, especially on large areas like legs or backs. But it’s not permanent — and it struggles with fine, light, gray, or hormonal hairs. That’s why many people end up needing electrolysis anyway to clear what laser misses.

If permanence is your goal, starting with electrolysis from the beginning can save you time and money in the long run. But if you’ve already done laser, don’t worry — electrolysis can absolutely finish the job and give you lasting results.

Think of it this way: laser is like hitting “pause” on your hair growth, while electrolysis is the permanent “delete.”
