Does More Current Equal Better Results in Electrolysis?

It’s a common misconception that cranking up the machine will get faster, better results. The truth? More current doesn’t always mean better — and in fact, it can lead to unnecessary irritation or skin damage.

Electrolysis is about precision, not power. The right amount of current is carefully adjusted based on:

  • The area being treated

  • The thickness of the hair

  • The sensitivity of your skin

Too little current won’t fully destroy the follicle, but too much can over-treat the skin. My job as your electrologist is to find the balance where the hair slides out smoothly with minimal traction and your skin heals beautifully.

So no — more current doesn’t mean better. The right current means better.
